To apply for an account as an Authorized Individual on behalf of the Account Owner, the applicant must provide official documents confirming the applicant's relationship to the Account Owner, and the applicant's authority to open and manage the account. Documents can be uploaded during the online application process. Appropriate documents must be uploaded (or otherwise provided) and approved by the Program Manager before the account will be activated.
Typical documentation is listed below for each Authorized Individual type. In some cases, other documents might be required to establish the applicant's authority and relationship to the account owner. Please contact the Program Manager if documentation is not available or if you have questions about documentation requirements.
Applicants may provide scans or copies of any required documents with the application but should maintain originals or certified copies and be able to produce them for the Program Manager or Internal Revenue Service upon request.
